It's taken a year.....

......of living near the sea, but C is at last keen to go in it (just as winter approaches!!). Friday (a public holiday) we were picnicing at Cornwallis, and after a while came the request to go on to the beach- happily took sandals off and paddled at the edge without encouragement (what progress was made on a beach holiday!). A little later some other (known) children ran into the sea- C was eager to follow and after stripping to his pants (this was a not particularly prepared beach trip) he too ran in, splashing and playing- loving it! Of course L had to follow- must do what my brother does! so off came my shoes and socks to stay close- it was notably colder than a month ago! SO- a winter of beach trips ahead so the fear doesn't reappear??
