Today I chased 9 pukekos out of the garden, I described them the other day as having a body similar in size to a goose but with the length of legs and neck swapped (ie small neck and long thin legs). They're not small, but fortunately not as bold as geese. I think they've wised up to the peach tree- really must get the bird net out of the packet and around the trees- but need more than one pair of hands methinks. Otherwise I'll have to pick them, but tree ripened fruit have to be the best!
